One of the greatest parts of what I do is that I get to watch families grow and their children grow up. When I work with a family every year I always feel like a part of them-I get to capture the new additions, the birthdays, the anniversaries, the new family, the changes and the joy in it all. It's exciting to see how big the children have gotten, meet a new baby, the grandparents, significant others and hear all about the wonderful things that have gone on since I last saw them.
This beautiful family will always hold a special place in my heart because I have been with them every year since their daughter was one and their son was just born. Today I had the pleasure of photographing them for their 3rd and 5th birthdays and meeting more of their wonderful family. It was amazing to see how the kids have grown and how much love they have for their entire family. The family had so much to celebrate and it was so special to witness and capture the love and closeness between each family member.
As I have said many times before, birthdays, milestones, LIFE is all so fleeting. It is important to live in the moment and cherish today but its also special when you can look back and share those stories and wonderful memories along with a treasured picture.
