IM BACK.

What better way to get back to taking pictures than with a lifestyle birthday session?? After taking a couple of months off I am finally booking sessions again and let's just say that it's going to get very busy. Springtime is always packed with spring minis, communions, parties and graduations but now there is also something else added to the mix. The last couple of years have thrown us all for a loop and made it very clear that not only is tomorrow never a guarantee and anything can literally change from one day to the next but now more than ever we know that each and every moment must be cherished. Families have learned even more so to appreciate the day-to-day routine and just enjoy being together. Too many people were forced to accept that a loved one could be on this earth one minute and gone the next. Parents watched their little ones grow up but miss out on the actual growing up part. So many things were missed out on, but families are having fun making up for lost time and I get to be there to capture it all.

Extended family sessions (getting those shots in with grandma, grandpa and all of the baby cousins), rescheduled parties with family and friends (excited to see smiles again!) and most importantly, lifestyle sessions. I have always said how much I love these sessions because they are real, raw and candid. They are when the families feel the most comfortable, the children have everything that is familiar to them around them, and everyone can just be themselves. The pictures show all of the little things at home that make the kids smile, all of the big things that the parents do every day that no one really sees them do at home and these sessions without a doubt capture a sweet, fleeting moment in time because sooner than later everything does change.

Which brings me to this lifestyle birthday session. I have worked with this beautiful family a few times now-a lifestyle session with one child, a maternity session, a newborn lifestyle session and now this. It's always so special capturing how a family grows and looking back to when it all started, where it all started. The pictures offering just a small glimpse into the life they have made, share and love. The session may not last long and we all know that time moves too fast, but I will be there to help the memories last forever.
